The AGM-88 High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) is a tactical air-to-surface missile designed to seek out and destroy enemy radar and communication systems; otherwise known as SEAD, Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. The missile is equipped with a passive radar seeker, which allows it to detect, identify and track enemy radar emissions. When laucnhed, the missile homes in on the radar source and destroys it with its high-explosive warhead. The missile also has an inertial guidance system to provide mid-course guidance. If the radar signal is lost, the INS will guide the weapon to the last known emitter location. It can be employed using SP (self-protection mode), TOO (Target-of-Opportunity mode) and PP (Pre-planned mode).
