notes | TOR is a highly mobile tactical SAM with strong anti-air and anti-missile capability. It is capable of shooting down a barrage of glide bombs like JSOWs or missiles such as HARMs, Mavericks, and similar weapons. TOR can engage two targets at once. It has an 8-cell rapid launch vertical launch system and is highly effective. They are often found defending high value assets such as SA-10s, airfields or armored columns. |
counter | TOR is a high priority target for all aircraft. It is a formidable air defense system that is highly resistant to counter-measures. It can attack two targets at once and has rapid fire capability. Attack it by saturating with standoff munitions or high altitude JDAM drops. HARMs should be launched in Loft trajectory to maximize their terminal velocity. If engaged by TOR, the best coarse of action is to seek terrain masking. Chaff and jamming will have limited success. |
